Description:

The Driver Operator - Pumper Certification Course contains 40-hours of student lectures, and 24 hours of group practical applications. It is important for the Driver Operator - Pumper Candidate to understand, the Driver Operator - Pumper Certification training program offered by VDFP is a “college level” course requiring extensive reading and preparation by each candidate.

The 64-hour Instructor Driver Operator - Pumper Course is a nationally recognized training program, accredited through the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NBFSPQ, “Pro-Board”). The VDFP, in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association’s NFPA 1002-07 “Standard on Fire Apparatus / Driver Professional Qualifications”, requires that all candidates attend 100% of the 64-hour curriculum. Candidates should ensure they are able to comply with the course schedule prior to registration. Driver Operator - Pumper Candidates failing to attend 100% of the scheduled training program in sequential order will not be eligible to participate in the Module certification testing process. VDFP requires documented evidence of 100% attendance at all Driver Operator - Pumper training program sessions before allowing candidates to test.
